Trump Iran Nuclear Strike: Massive Blow to Tehran’s Nuke Program

In a bold and controversial move, Donald Trump claimed that US airstrikes dealt a monumental blow to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. The Trump Iran nuclear strike reportedly targeted three key nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — with advanced bunker-busting bombs.
The action comes amid growing regional instability, and it’s the first time the US has taken direct military action alongside Israel in this unfolding conflict.
Trump Iran nuclear strike, “Bullseye!!” — Trump’s Words After the Strike
Former US President Donald Trump took to Truth Social, boasting that the operation caused “obliteration” of Iran’s deep-underground facilities. According to Trump, the Fordow nuclear site, which lies embedded beneath mountainous rock, suffered the most severe damage.
“Obliteration is an accurate term… The biggest damage took place far below ground level,” Trump wrote.
“Bullseye!!”
The strike involved the deployment of six GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs, capable of destroying fortified underground structures. These bombs were dropped specifically on Fordow, one of Iran’s most protected nuclear installations.
Trump Iran Nuclear Strike Triggers Global Response
The airstrikes were greenlit following a week of Israeli attacks on Iran’s missile and air defence systems. Trump, coordinating with the Pentagon, ordered the assault to “cripple” Iran’s nuclear program.
US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth later confirmed the operation’s success at a Pentagon briefing, stating:
“We devastated the Iranian nuclear program. Their capabilities have been obliterated.”
Iran Vows Retaliation
In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the strike, warning of “harsh and decisive” revenge. Just hours after the US-led operation, Iran launched missiles targeting Israeli positions.
“The Zionist enemy has made a grave mistake and must be punished — and is being punished,” Khamenei posted on social media.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian echoed similar sentiments, calling the attacks “an assault on national sovereignty.” He urged for retaliation and condemned the Trump Iran nuclear strike as an act of unprovoked aggression.
Global Reactions and India’s Concern
The strikes sparked outrage across the global diplomatic community. Countries like Russia, China, and Saudi Arabia criticized the US move. Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke directly with Iran’s president, urging restraint and calling for dialogue.
India warned that continued military action could spiral into a broader regional crisis, with long-term global repercussions.
Iran Appeals to the United Nations
Iran has officially appealed to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to convene an emergency session and condemn the US airstrikes. Iran’s UN Ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, accused both Israel and the US of destroying decades of diplomacy.
He argued that the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is being manipulated as a political tool rather than a framework for global peace.
